One day, I was inspired to create a treasure chest. Then I realized it would be a good gift for my sister. Introducing: the janky treasure chest made from craft sticks, hot-glue, and copper wire. It ain’t pretty, but it gets the job done.

I began the project by creating the shelf's foundation.
I used popsicle sticks to reinforce the foundation.
A sheet of spare cardboard to improve appearances.
This was my original plan: a floating shelf. But then I thought about expanding the shelf.
I began to extend the shelf by making walls first.
The walls have been glued onto the original small shelf.
Hideous, but sturdy. I used tiny craft screws covered in hot glue for extra reinforcement.
I think that might be a bit crooked. Maybe it's just the angle of the picture.
A slight trapezoid shape that's pleasant to the eyes.
And there she is. This shelf is one of my favorite projects. I use it every day.
All of my craftings. On the left, we have my remote stand for my room's lamps. To the right is my light strip remotes.
This is definitely one of my most-useful creations. Not once has it come off the wall or broken apart.
